H-Town Radiant Gel Coat and Cleaner

Direction of use for Gel Coat Cleaner

 Things you will need:
Included: H-Town Radiant Gel Coat Cleaner, Scrub Pad Not Included: Protective Gloves and Eyewear

Before you get started you will always need gloves and eye protection to avoid irritation or injury.

Prepping the surface:
Start with a 32oz bottle of H-Town Radiant Gel coat cleaner. Dilute 8oz of H-Town Radiant Gel Coat Cleaner into 2 gallons of water. For hard to clean areas you may need to add more H-Town Radiant Gel Coat Cleaner for a stronger concentrate. Always test a small area before getting started.

Wash the surface with the cleaner and a scrub pad to remove oxidation, old wax, black streaks, etc. You may have to do some wet sanding for extreme situations.

Remember that whatever is left on the surface will be coated on so make sure to clean it well!

Do not use cleaner on surface once clear coat has been applied. If you use this cleaner it will strip the gel coat. Once the surface is clean let it dry.

Using to remove H-Town Radiant Gel Coat:
Even though H-Town Radiant Gel Coat is extremely durable and meant to last, it can be removed. Spray H-Town Radiant Gel Coat Cleaner on the surface and let stand for 2 to 3 minutes. Begin removing the gel coat by scrubbing with a mild abrasive scrub pad that will not scratch the surface you are coating. Once the old clear coat is removed, rinse the surface and let it dry.

Satisfaction guaranteed when used as directed.

Direction of use for Gel Coat

 Applying H-Town Radiant Gel Coat:
Before you apply you need to make sure that the temperature outside is at least 50-90 degrees and you are in a shaded area. Once you have completed the cleaning process, make sure it dries well even around the window trim, awnings, and top of gutters, and on the sides. Take a white lent free applicator or mitt and rinse with cold water and ring it out. Pour H-Town Radiant Gel Coat on the applicator until good and wet but not to the point it is dripping wet. Starting at the top of the surface, apply gel coat with even strokes from side to side with each stroke overlapping the previous one. As you move down the surface, reapply gel coat to your applicator as needed. If you apply too much gel coat to the point it looks milky or is dripping, you will need to thin it out by spreading the gel coat out more by wiping it back and forth until runs or milky appearance is gone. Wait 10-15 minutes for the first coat to dry. For each additional coat apply gel coat as soon as the surface is dry to touch. It can take anywhere from 3 to 7 coats depending on the condition of the surface. Normal surfaces take 3 to 4 coats. You will know you are close when you begin to see your surface shine.

Apply additional coats until you get the shine you want. H-Town Radiant Gel goat will last 6 to 12 months depending on the condition of the weather.

Remember always keep your applicator wet, don’t let it dry out. If you have to stop for a while, put applicator in a bucket of water to prevent it from drying out. If applicator gets dirty wash and ring it out again and continue as directed.

Maintenance and Up keep:
Wash with soap and water only.

Use a wash and wax soap only. Do not use detergent. Using other products can affect the gel coat.

Satisfaction guaranteed when used as directed.
